Rother District Council is looking for confident, self-motivated individuals experienced in working with the general public. This role involves spending a significant amount of time outdoors in all weathers and offers a varied and challenging experience.

We have an opportunity for enthusiastic and committed applicants to join our Coastal Operations team based at Camber Sands. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and the ability to diffuse difficult situations. Ideally, candidates will have previous experience in a similar role.

The nature of these roles is challenging and often involves working under pressure, but the right candidates will find it motivating and rewarding. Our Camber Welcome Assistants play a key role in supporting our Coastal Operations Officers with the safe and effective management of the Council’s car parks in Camber, managing traffic flow in and out of Camber car parks and providing helpful information and guidance to visitors. The role is intrinsically linked to the operational management of the beach and therefore a vital part of our summer provision.

Flexible and weekend working is required. Full training will be provided.
