Saltash Community School is seeking an ambitious and inspirational practitioner to deliver PE and sport at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5, and Cambridge Nationals and Technical in sport at KS4 and KS5 starting September 2026. Due to the composition of the PE Department, we require a female teacher.
We wish to appoint an outstanding individual who has the necessary skills and attributes to have a positive impact upon teaching and learning at Saltash Community School. We are looking for a candidate who is a role model to our students, passionate about engaging students in learning, and who would be highly committed to assisting us with our delivery of a strong and varied extra-curricular programme.
Experience of teaching Level 2 Cambridge Nationals in Sport Studies and Level 3 Cambridge Technical in Sport and Physical Activity sport is preferable, but not essential. The successful candidate will inspire and innovate across a diverse cohort of students, engaging girls and boys of all abilities. They will deliver a broad and inclusive curriculum that promotes participation in a wide range of activities, while fostering leadership, competition, and the development of knowledge, skills, and character needed to thrive both in school and beyond.
They will be committed to sustaining and further raising high levels of achievement and motivation within PE, actively promoting a positive culture around fitness for life and leadership – both central to our concept-led curriculum. The candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in assessment for learning across all key stages and will play a full role in our extensive extra-curricular programme, encouraging high participation while also driving excellence.
