Role Overview
We are currently recruiting a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly night team at St Georges Residential Care Home in Worthing. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to progress your career within a supportive and well‑run residential care setting. St Georges Residential Care Home is a 26‑bed elderly care home providing high‑quality, person‑centred care in a warm and welcoming environment built on dignity, respect, and compassion.
Location: St Georges Residential Care Home, Worthing, West Sussex
Hours: 24 hours per week (Nights)
Salary: £13.85 per hour (Reviewed annually) + weekend enhancements
Contract: part time, permanent
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents overnight, ensuring their safety, comfort and wellbeing while delivering outstanding care.
Your Role as a Senior Care Assistant:
- Deliver high‑quality personal care throughout night shifts
- Administer medication safely as a trained Senior Care Assistant
- Carry out regular welfare checks to ensure resident safety and comfort
- Respond calmly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies during the night
- Support residents with dignity, independence, and respect at all times
- Maintain accurate care records and complete handovers
- Support and guide care staff on shift
