Help us tell stories that truly matter. SDR isn’t a typical care provider. We’re a fast-growing, values-led organisation supporting older people, adults with specialist needs, and individuals in emergency housing. Since 2018, we’ve built services that are personal, compassionate, and rooted in community. Now, we’re ready to share that story more boldly and we need you to lead the way.
This is a brand-new role. A rare opportunity to build an in-house marketing and communications function from the ground up, shape our public voice, and help us connect with families, communities, partners - and future colleagues. If you’re creative, digitally confident, and want your work to have real social impact, this could be your next move.
The Role
As our Marketing & Communications Manager, you’ll be at the heart of how SDR shows up in the world. Working closely with our CEO, senior leaders, and external marketing support, you’ll:
- Bring our brand to life across digital channels
- Grow our online presence and reputation
- Tell authentic stories about the people we support and the people who work with us
- Strengthen recruitment campaigns in a competitive care market
- Build trusted communications with staff, families, partners, and communities
This is hands-on, creative, and strategic with plenty of space to shape, innovate, and make your mark.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and developing our websites
- Creating content for social media and digital campaigns
- Producing engaging stories, visuals, and promotional materials
- Supporting PR, news stories, and stakeholder communications
- Promoting events and community engagement
- Developing content calendars and brand consistency
- Helping shape long-term marketing strategy as we grow
Who We’re Looking For
- Has experience in marketing, communications, or digital content
- Writes brilliantly and adapts tone with ease
- Knows how to build engagement online
- Can design basic visual assets
- Is organised, proactive, and collaborative
- Enjoys building something new, not just maintaining it
- Connects with our purpose in social care and community support
Experience in care, health, or charity sectors is a bonus - but passion and creativity matter most.
Why Join SDR?
- A values-driven, inclusive workplace
- Be part of an ambitious organisation in real growth
- A role you can shape from day one
- Training and development opportunities
- Free parking
- Clear progression as the team grows
In short, this isn’t just a marketing job, but it’s a chance to build a voice, shape a brand, and amplify work that genuinely changes lives.
