The predicted salary is between 29903 - 36549 Β£ per year.
This post is for a newly qualified General Practitioner who is fully GMC registered and is confident working autonomously across varied clinical settings. The post holder will be required to deliver clinical services across multiple SDHC sites, including, but not limited to, Hillbrow Health and Wellbeing, the Intermediate Care Ward at Eastbourne District General Hospital, and other SDHC operational locations according to service needs. This post will require the GP to work some evenings and weekends.
Main duties of the job include:
- Delivering evidence-based care, assessing and managing patients with complex needs and long-term conditions.
- Prescribing safely, making autonomous clinical decisions, and referring or escalating patients appropriately.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to provide coordinated, seamless care across services.
- Maintaining high-quality clinical records and promoting prevention, healthy living, and patient wellbeing.
- Occasional supervision and mentoring of GP trainees and colleagues.
- Participation in research projects with partners such as NIHR and universities.
- Contribution to audit, quality improvement, patient safety, and shared learning.
- Supporting service development by sharing best practice and identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

- Practising evidence-based medicine, in line with national and locally agreed guidelines.

Person Specification:
Experience:
- Essential: Experience of prioritising work and meeting deadlines, understanding of office systems, effective communication skills, and previous experience in a primary care setting.
- Desirable: Experience of using electronic systems/databases.

- Essential: High level of competence in Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, highly organised, time management and prioritisation skills.

- Essential: Must be able to drive, have access to a vehicle for work, and have business use included on vehicle insurance.
