We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed KS4 Science Teacher to join our growing Health & Social Care team at South Devon UTC. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching that inspires curiosity, supports strong outcomes, and prepares students for their next steps in health education, training or employment. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality KS4 teaching in line with the BTEC Level 2 First Award Health & Social Care specifications and AQA combined Science specification
  • Plan engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Set high expectations for behaviour, effort and academic success
  • Embed literacy, numeracy and technical skills within teaching

Assessment & Outcomes

  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support student improvement
  • Contribute to intervention strategies to raise attainment

Professional Contribution

  • Work collaboratively within the Science and Health & Social Care Department and wider UTC team

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in a science-related subject
  • Experience of teaching KS4 Science
