We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed KS4 Science Teacher to join our growing Health & Social Care team at South Devon UTC. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching that inspires curiosity, supports strong outcomes, and prepares students for their next steps in health education, training or employment. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality KS4 teaching in line with the BTEC Level 2 First Award Health & Social Care specifications and AQA combined Science specification
- Plan engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Set high expectations for behaviour, effort and academic success
- Embed literacy, numeracy and technical skills within teaching
Assessment & Outcomes
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to support student improvement
- Contribute to intervention strategies to raise attainment
Professional Contribution
- Work collaboratively within the Science and Health & Social Care Department and wider UTC team

Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in a science-related subject
- Experience of teaching KS4 Science
