Are you someone who loves keeping things clean, organised and running like clockwork? Do you enjoy being part of a busy team where no two days are quite the same?
We’re looking for a hands-on and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team and help keep our training kitchens, classrooms and stores in tip-top condition.
This isn’t just about washing pots! You’ll play an important part in creating a safe, professional and well-equipped environment where our students can develop their skills and get the most from their practical sessions.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be at the heart of our practical catering areas, helping to:
- Keep our training kitchens, equipment, utensils and workspaces clean, hygienic and ready for action.
- Support with pot and plate washing during busy meal services.
- Prepare food orders and resources for practical sessions and make sure everything reaches the right kitchen safely.
- Receive deliveries and help keep stores organised, including maintaining effective stock rotation.
- Help manage kitchen laundry, from preparing used items for collection to putting clean items back where they’re needed.
- Assist with general porter duties, including moving hospitality equipment and furniture.
- Carry out regular deep cleaning to keep our kitchens and stores looking their best.
- Help with basic maintenance tasks and report anything that needs attention.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene and health and safety.
