As a Lecturer in Chemistry, you will be directly responsible for the delivery of engaging teaching, learning and assessment across a range of academic levels. This may include delivery within our High School provision (ages 14-16) as well as further & higher education programmes.
Responsibilities
- Planning, preparing & delivering high-quality lessons in line with the SOLAR (Scheme of Learning and Reflection) or, for Higher Education provision, the relevant Module Guide
- Producing detailed lesson plans & learning materials that meet curriculum & awarding body requirements
- Acting as a Personal Tutor, supporting students' academic progress & wellbeing
- Organising & managing all aspects of the programmes you deliver, including assessment, marking & feedback
- Contributing to quality assurance & continuous improvement processes
- Inspiring, motivating & challenging learners to achieve their best
- Actively promoting & developing the Science curriculum, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practice & student experience across the wider Science team
