About the Role
You’ll work closely with students who need additional support to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their goals. Whether you’re helping in the classroom, providing one‑to‑one support, or celebrating those lightbulb moments, you’ll play a vital role in helping students feel they truly belong.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting students in lessons to access the curriculum and achieve their study programme
- Helping develop Maths, English, academic and practical skills
- Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning
- Supporting small group work and preparing learning resources
- Building strong, positive relationships that empower students
- Monitoring attendance, progress and wellbeing
- Using person‑centred approaches to promote independence
- Applying evidence‑informed support strategies (modelling, prompting, scaffolding)
- Contributing to reviews and working with SENDCOs, tutors and support teams
- Supporting exam access arrangements and invigilating where required
- Providing flexible support across curriculum areas, campuses and key college events
