Overview
South Derbyshire District Council is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Head of Operational Services to lead some of its most visible and valued frontline services. This is a high-profile opportunity to shape the future of refuse collection, recycling, street cleansing, grounds maintenance and fleet services, ensuring they are efficient, sustainable and responsive to the needs of residents and communities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of frontline services including refuse collection, recycling, street cleansing, grounds maintenance and fleet services.
- Help deliver the Council’s strategic ambitions and promote environmental sustainability across the district.
- Provide strong leadership, sound financial judgement and work confidently with elected members, partners, communities and colleagues to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Directorate’s Senior Management Team to shape service strategy and outcomes.
