This is an exciting opportunity to join our Trust at South Dartmoor Community College, recently inspected as ‘Good in all Areas’. We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant who shares our passion, vision and drive, and who is prepared to go that extra mile to support our students. You would be joining a committed team of teaching assistants who play an important role in our school.

The role involves supporting students with Special Educational Needs within the classroom. This may include facilitating students' emotional regulation, working with those on the autistic spectrum, and supporting students with low levels of Literacy and Numeracy to access the secondary curriculum. Developing excellent relationships with the students is essential.

You will be a hard‑working individual; with high expectations and an unwavering determination to get the best outcomes for students. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post.
