Northern State University is seeking an experienced and dependable carpenter for a full‑time, benefits‑eligible position. This role plays an important part in maintaining and improving campus facilities through quality craftsmanship, repair work, and renovation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • General building repair and maintenance
  • Remodeling and renovation projects
  • Rough and finish carpentry
  • Framing, trim work, and cabinet making
  • Carpet, tile, and grout installation and repair
  • Installation and repair of building materials and fixtures
  • Preventative maintenance and repair projects across campus facilities

Qualifications:

  • Experience in carpentry and general building maintenance
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, hardware, and construction materials
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and install materials
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and safety practices
