Northern State University is seeking an energetic, highly organized, and customer-focused Campus Visit & Event Coordinator to create exceptional first impressions for prospective students and guests while coordinating a variety of university events. This position plays a vital role in supporting student recruitment by delivering memorable campus visit experiences and helping plan and execute events that showcase Northern’s welcoming campus community.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage individual, group, virtual, and special campus visits for prospective students and their families.
- Plan and oversee recruitment events such as Northern Bound Days, College Planning Day, Boys State, and other admissions and community events.
- Recruit, train, schedule, mentor, and supervise student Admissions STARS (tour guides) to ensure outstanding visitor experiences.
- Collaborate with faculty, Financial Aid, Career Services, TRIO , Athletics, Facilities, Dining Services, IT, and other campus partners to coordinate successful campus visits and events.
- Assist with university-wide event planning by providing scheduling, logistical coordination, and event support using 25Live.
- Coordinate event logistics including room reservations, technology, catering, signage, promotional materials, and visitor communications.
- Manage admissions office operations related to campus visits, hospitality, visitor registration, office supplies, and promotional materials.
- Create and enhance visitor communications using Adobe Creative Suite and other communication tools.
- Track campus visit participation and related enrollment data to support recruitment efforts.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, event management, or a related field.
- One to three years of related professional experience.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of event planning or event management experience.
- Experience using event management software such as 25Live.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design software.
