Northern State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty position in Human Performance/Exercise Science in the Department of Sports Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate education through excellence in teaching, applied laboratory instruction, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in a learner-centered environment.
  • Supervising undergraduate/graduate research.
  • Mentoring graduate students.
  • Engaging in scholarly activity and service to the university and community.
  • Serving as the Human Performance & Biomechanics Laboratory Director, overseeing laboratory operations, supervising graduate assistants, collaborating with athletics and community partners, and supporting accreditation and program development initiatives.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Exercise Science, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, or a related field. ABDs who will complete their degree before the date of appointment will be considered.
