Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Recruitment Advisor to support high-volume recruitment for our terminal operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in sourcing and managing candidates in fast-paced, blue-collar environments. You’ll play a key role in building strong talent pipelines, ensuring a smooth candidate experience, and partnering with hiring managers to meet operational workforce needs. An ideal move for an experienced agency recruiter ready to step into an in-house role and make a real impact on high-volume hiring. NOTE: This role will be based on site at London Gateway in Stanford-le-Hope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source candidates across job boards, LinkedIn, and other platforms, with a focus on terminal operative and logistics roles.
  • Screen CVs and conduct initial phone interviews to assess suitability and availability.
  • Manage high volumes of applications via our platforms, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Coordinate interviews and assessment centres, working closely with hiring managers and recruitment support.
  • Advise hiring managers on effective selection methods and recruitment best practices.
  • Support offer management and onboarding processes for successful candidates.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to stay ahead of hiring trends and improve sourcing strategies.
  • Represent the business at job fairs and recruitment events to attract local talent.
  • Collaborate with the wider Talent team on volume campaigns and workforce planning.
  • Handle candidate queries and ensure a positive experience throughout the recruitment journey.

Person Specification

  • 2-3 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in high-volume or blue-collar sectors.
  • Confident sourcing hard-to-find talent and engaging passive candidates.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A self-starter with a sense of urgency and a problem-solving mindset.
