South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family owned and managed, care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex. We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex. We have 411 beds, each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours β day and night, for long and short-term stays.
We are looking for an Activities Lead to join our team at Eastridge Manor, our specialist dementia nursing home in Bolney, near Haywards Heath - West Sussex. Reporting to the Home Manager, the Activities Lead involves working with an enthusiastic activities team carrying out planned, proactive and innovative activities. The team is committed to providing professional, respectful, person-centred activities within a safe environment both in and outside the home. This is a hands-on role and appropriate experience will be of paramount importance as is the commitment to provide a first-class service to all of our residents.
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
As the Activities Lead you will:
- Plan activities according to residents' interests
- Ensure activities are set for the day and followed through
- Manage the activities budget
- Liaise with internal and external providers
- Manage staff allocation
- Support in the training of new staff
More about you:
- Ideally you will have experience in a similar role
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have the ability to problem solve and multi-task
- Some IT skills such as Excel, Word, MS Office etc.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
