Position and reward for successful candidate:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team of nurses to support Eastridge Manor, our specialist dementia nursing home in Bolney, Nr Haywards Heath. Reporting to the Home Manager, this role involves working with an experienced clinical team carrying out planned, proactive and reactive clinical duties. The team is committed to providing professional, respectful and quality care within a safe home environment.
This is a hands-on role, and appropriate experience and relevant qualifications will be of paramount importance, as is the commitment to provide a first-class service to all of our customers, the residents.
Job responsibilities:
- To maintain high standards of patient care ensuring the health and safety and welfare of all residents.
- To champion patient choice and autonomy.
- To ensure that all staff work in a dignified and respectful way to all who live and work in the home.
- Support and assist in managing the whole care team when on duty.
- Working in collaboration with colleagues to ensure excellent resident care and exemplary communication is delivered.
- To promote good morale amongst staff and continuously strive to improve effective team working and develop teams that need support.
- To foster relationships with families, advocates and NOK and ensure that they are kept informed of all changes to the residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
- To ensure all documentation is completed in a comprehensive, concise and time-sensitive manner, including the generation of individualized care plans, which must be reviewed and amended when residents' needs change.
- Clear documentation of events, conversations, and formal arrangements with outside agencies and other professionals.
Requirements:
- A Nursing degree or above.
- Able to prioritise between tasks to achieve the most satisfactory outcome.
- Good reporting skills both verbal and non-verbal.
- Previous clinical experience in geriatric, frailty, end of life and dementia care.
- Hands-on in their approach and a can-do attitude.
- An ability to think on your feet and under pressure when dealing with multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to get on with people but be able to act with confidence when dealing with staff, residents, managers, directors and contractors.
- Some IT skills such as Excel, Word, MS Office etc. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Package:
- Pay £26.00 p/h Weekdays and £27.30 Weekends.
