South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family owned and managed, care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex.

We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex. We have 414 beds with the recent opening of a new Nursing home in central Worthing. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours – day and night, for long and short-term stays.

South Coast Nursing Homes are recruiting for a receptionistto join the team at our team at The Poets in Worthing.

Hours: 9am – 5pm – Monday to Friday

Suitable applicants would have reception experience and the ability to support in administration tasks.

Duties:

  • Providing front of house reception and resident support as appropriate.
  • Answering incoming calls and taking accurate messages
  • Responding to emails in a timely efficient manor
  • Providing necessary administrative support to the Manager and team.
  • Following up on active enquiries about the home
  • Giving tours of the home to prospective residents and their families
  • Arranging taxis and hospital transport for residents as required.
  • Minute taking for staff and resident meetings
  • Experience in a similar roll
  • Passionate about offering superior services and want to make a difference
  • Kind and caring with a positive approach
  • Energetic and hard-working;
  • Team player

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Confidence in their approach
  • An ability to think on your feet and under pressure when dealing with multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication with residents, families, managers and directors
  • Good with their IT skills, such as Excel, Word, MS Office etc. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
  • A problem solver and solution provider as well as being a quick learner
