South Coast Nursing Homes Ltd is an established, family-owned care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex. We operate nine homes across East and West Sussex, including 414 beds, and recently opened a brand-new home in Central Worthing, The Poets. Our specialist dementia residential home, Blatchington Manor, is located in Seaford. We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to join our team at Blatchington Manor.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the social and welfare needs of residents are met and for implementing a comprehensive and meaningful activity programme that reflects the residents’ needs, capabilities, interests and skills.

Hours: 36 hours per week – 8am to 8pm, including alternate weekends.

Job responsibilities:

  • Help create a varied, stimulating, and meaningful activity programme to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the home.
  • Ensure that daily and weekly activities/events are clearly displayed.
  • Organise and co‑ordinate one‑to‑one and group activities for residents, bespoke to their individual interests and choices.
  • Plan and organise an activities programme that progresses over time.
