An opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant at Pentlands Nursing Home in Worthing.
Working Hours:
- WK 1 - Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sun all 8-1 or 9-2
- WK 2 - Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri all 8-1 or 9-2
Responsibilities:
- Keep the home clean and safe, providing a superior service to our residents.
- Provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home at all times.
- Clean residents’ rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed their patient care.
- Check flowers and plants and water/dispose of as necessary.
- Clean communal areas including mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Ensure the home is safe by removing clutter and keeping storage areas tidy.
- Shampoo carpets as needed.
- Present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed.
- Take particular care with residents’ personal laundry to prevent accidental damage and present it in a well-ironed state.
- Check residents’ personal laundry for tears, broken zips, or lost buttons and refer to matron for discussion if a repair is necessary.
