An opportunity has arisen within the South Coast Nursing Homes group for a Domestic Assistant at Berkeley Lodge, in Worthing.
Hours: 28 per week based on a two-week rota:
- Week 1 - Tue - 11.30am - 6.30pm, Fri - 8am - 3pm, Sat - 8am - 3pm
- Week 2 - Tue - 11.30am - 6.30pm, Fri - 8am - 3pm, Sat - 8am - 3pm, Sun - 11.30am - 6.30pm
Purpose of the role:
- To keep the home clean and safe, providing a superior service to our residents.
- To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home at all times.
- To clean residents' rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed their patient care.
- To check flowers and plants and water/dispose of as necessary.
- To clean communal areas including mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Ensuring the home is safe e.g. removing clutter, keeping storage areas tidy.
- Shampoo carpets as and when needed.
- To present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed.
- To take particular care with residents' personal laundry, to prevent accidental damage and present in a well-ironed state.
- To check residents' personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons and refer to matron for discussion if a repair is necessary.
