South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family owned and managed, care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex. We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex. We have 414 beds having recently opened a brand-new Home in Central Worthing, named The Poets. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours – day and night, for long and short-term stays.

An exciting opportunity has arisen with in the South Coast Nursing Homes Group for a Clinical Development Nurse. Working as part of the training and development team, this post will be responsible for enhancing the development and standards of clinical practice in our Nursing homes while also supporting the training team with the delivery of bespoke training programmes.

As a Clinical Development Nurse, you will:

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the nursing teams both in the classroom and in practice.
  • Develop and facilitate bespoke training programmes & competencies in clinical skills with evidence of supported learning.
  • Liaise with the Clinical Director and Managers of the homes to ensure the clinical requirements of each home are met and work effectively.
  • Work with managers to evaluate clinical audits and outcomes to identify gaps and training needs analysis.
  • Implement the RN induction programme for new RN’s, to provide orientation into their role and the home environment and ascertain individuals training and development needs.

This role will require you to be flexible in your approach and will include some evening and weekend inductions. This role will require the post holder to drive as there will be some travel across our 9 homes.
