An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Coast Nursing Homes for a Care Home Trainer. This role will be responsible for embedding training in our homes and continuously improving standards. The training team is committed to providing professional, respectful and quality training ensuring all staff are trained to the highest quality. This role will require you to be flexible in your approach and will include some evening and weekend inductions. The post holder will be required to drive as there will be travel across our 9 homes.
Hours – 40hrs per week
As a Home Training Assistant, you will:
- Support in the onboarding of new starters to ensure the best patient care is provided
- Carry out induction plans and complete 6 weeks of observed practice, provide useful and effective objectives and feedback
- Complete 12-week professional discussion for the Care Certificate
- Support employees with any performance issues and devise action plans in conjunction with the home manager
- Observe homes and employees working practices for any additional training needs they may have
- Assess and complete competency with new and existing staff, including medication
- Keep up to date records
