An opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant at Rookwood Residential Care Home, in Burgess Hill.
- Hours: 25 per week, Tuesday-Saturday, 8am-1pm (start time is negotiable)
The purpose of this role is to keep the home clean and safe, providing a superior service to our residents:
- To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home at all times.
- To clean residents’ rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed their patient care.
- To check flowers and plants and water/dispose of as necessary.
- To clean communal areas including mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Ensuring the home is safe by removing clutter and keeping storage areas tidy.
- Shampoo carpets as needed.
- To present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed.
- To take particular care with residents’ personal laundry to prevent accidental damage and present it in a well-ironed state.
- To check residents’ personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons and refer to matron for discussion if a repair is necessary.
