South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family owned and managed, care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex. We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex, with 414 beds. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours a day, for long and short-term stays. Opened in 2018, Blatchington Manor is a purpose-built specialist dementia residential care home in Seaford, East Sussex. The Home has been sympathetically designed to offer high quality, dedicated specialised care for residents living with memory loss, including Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
The Home Manager will lead and manage the operation as the registered manager. You will work closely with your management team providing strong leadership and inspiration, to ensure the highest standards are achieved in all areas of the home including relationship centred care, clinical compliance, hospitality services and business performance.
Job responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management of the home
- Lead, support, empower and inspire the team to ensure positive outcomes for the home.
- Overall responsibility for the supervision, appraisal and performance management of the team, supporting them to achieve their potential.
- Lead the team to ensure they are all aligned with the South Coast Nursing Homes ethos, and ensure they are implementing evidence-based practice.
- Lead regular communication with residents, relatives, external professionals and Directors.
- Manage financial budgets to ensure revenue and income targets are met.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced as a dementia specialist, with deep knowledge of best practices and innovation in dementia care.
- Adult RGN/RMN with managerial experience or an experienced Manager with an NVQ Level 5 or above.
- An inspirational Leader – someone with absolute integrity and credibility, a person others will want to follow.
- A role model and ambassador for our Leadership Behaviours, helping to nurture and embed these within our culture.
- An ability to think on your feet and under pressure when dealing with multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to get on with people at all levels from Director downwards.
- A problem solver and solution provider as well as being a quick learner.
- A natural affinity to care for other people.
