We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Foster Carers to join our community. As a Foster Carer, you will provide a safe, nurturing home for children who need care and stability. You will play a vital role in supporting their wellbeing, development, and everyday routines, while being supported by an experienced and professional fostering service. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive difference in a child's life.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, stable, and supportive home environment for children in foster care.
  • Build trusting relationships with children, offering emotional support, encouragement, and reassurance.
  • Support children with their day-to-day needs, including routines, education, and wellbeing.
  • Support children through transitions such as school changes or family contact, helping them feel settled and secure.
  • Work alongside professionals and attend training programmes to stay updated on best practices in foster care and child welfare.

What you will need

  • A spare bedroom available in your home.
  • To be over 21.
  • Experience with children is highly desirable.
  • A caring and patient approach, with good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the individual needs of children.

South Coast Fostering has over 27 years' experience supporting foster carers to provide high-quality care to children and young people who need it most. This post is subject to background checks, including DBS checks and a fostering assessment.
