South Central Fleet Services Ltd is looking for a Fleet Parts Person to join our team at our workshop in Nursling. The role involves maintaining stock records and managing vehicle parts to support the ambulance service. The workshop operates 7 days a week, with the parts supervisor working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours. The Fleet Parts Person plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle availability by ordering and managing parts for various vehicles and equipment, liaising with suppliers to meet high demand.

Main duties of the job:

  • Manage stock ordering for ambulances and vehicles, ensuring accurate records and high standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding stock, returns, and queries.
  • Analyze stock to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Support digitalization initiatives like digital job cards and barcode records.
  • Conduct stock counts and suggest improvements to minimize discrepancies.
  • Maintain records related to vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Follow health and safety and security procedures.
  • Participate in relevant training and contribute to income generation and cost savings.

Salary: circa £26,407 pa, depending on experience.
