South Central Fleet Services Ltd is looking for a Fleet Parts Person to join our workshop in Nursling, managing stock and digital records for South Central Ambulance Service. This role supports ambulance availability, with the workshop operating 7 days a week on a rotational shift basis. The parts supervisor role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours.

The Fleet Parts Person orders vehicle parts for various vehicles and equipment, ensuring maximum vehicle availability and liaising with suppliers to meet high demand.

Main duties of the job:
  • Manage stock ordering for ambulances and other vehicles, including administrative tasks.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding stock, returns, queries, and pricing.
  • Conduct stock analysis for cost-saving and process improvements.
  • Support digitalization initiatives like digital job cards and barcode records.
  • Perform regular stock counts and suggest process improvements.
  • Maintain records of vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Follow health, safety, and security procedures.
  • Attend relevant training courses.
  • Participate in income generation and cost-saving activities.
