If so, you could be exactly who we are looking for to create a brand-new team in our kitchen so it becomes the heart of our lovely home.
Manor Hall is a well-established, family run nursing home in the heart of Old Town in Eastbourne. We are looking for a 2nd Chef. A minimum of Level 2 food hygiene is desirable and you should enjoy the challenges that a busy nursing home kitchen can present. Experience of working in a nursing home or care home environment is essential. Good home cooking is a must using fresh locally sourced ingredients and a sound knowledge of puree diets. Fresh cakes to be made daily for afternoon tea.
You must be someone who enjoys the daily challenges that a busy kitchen has to offer. Uniform will be provided. You will need a DBS check prior to starting.
Chef Duties to include:- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
- Recording food temperatures
