We are currently looking for an operations administrator for our busy client just outside Blandford. Ideally on a permanent basis, but temporary employment will also be considered.
Purpose: To provide administrative support to warehouse and logistics operations, working closely with line managers and warehouse teams to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Location and Hours
Location: Just outside of Blandford. Own transport required.
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (between 07:00 and 17:00).
Salary
£28–£30k.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to warehouse and logistics teams, including order processing, documentation, dispatch paperwork, PODs, invoicing and system updates.
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers regarding pre-alerts, deliveries and proof of delivery.
- Support goods-in administration, document scanning and record keeping.
- Assist with health & safety administration, ensuring toolbox talks, risk assessments, procedures and policies are completed, signed and returned.
- Maintain training and compliance records in line with company and QSHE requirements.
- Support absence reporting and HR administration, including return-to-work documentation.
- Assist with onboarding and inductions for temporary and permanent staff.
- Support internal and external audits, updating corrective action registers and following up actions as required.
- Organise meetings, minute taking, and general office coordination including stationery and shared spaces.
- Act as a key communication link between office and warehouse teams on non-operational matters.
- Provide general operational and administrative support as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Administrative background in office administration, operation support or similar roles.
- Intermediate in Excel; advanced in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail with accurate record-keeping.
- Efficient in scheduling and coordination of activities, meetings and resources.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to identify operational issues and propose practical solutions.
