London South Bank Technical College at Nine Elms opened in the spring of 2023 and has been designed to support the development of high quality, 21st century technical skills across London. Our £46m campus, developed in partnership with the GLA, is focused on ensuring access to a range of high quality technical and professional courses for young people and adults using cutting edge equipment and technologies.

London South Bank Technical College is part of South Bank Colleges which in turn is part of the unique London South Bank University Group – a family of education institutions including two academies, the colleges and the university. We are ambitious in our Group vision to transform lives, communities, business and society through applied education and insights, through our values of Excellence, Professionalism, Integrity, Inclusivity and Creativity.

London South Bank Technical College provides an employer-led curriculum for young people and adults from levels 1 through to level 4, in collaboration with our partner Lambeth Gateway College to ensure progression led pathways whatever the starting point. We are looking to appoint exceptional staff who are ambitious for our students and can ensure that the curriculum offer is unique in its design, delivery and impact.

We are looking to recruit a Curriculum Head for Creative and Technical Arts, who will oversee a dynamic and diverse curriculum area encompassing Creative Arts, Media, Graphics, Film, Games Design, Esports, and more. This area is currently delivered across our Nine Elms and Clapham campuses but in line with our estates strategy we will move out of our Clapham site once the new Gateway College build is complete.

The ideal candidate will embrace innovation, have a strong track record in curriculum delivery and staff management in related curriculum areas, or have the potential to grow into an outstanding Curriculum Head, and we support those looking for career progression and development. You will bring experience in developing technical education within one of the areas mentioned above and a passion for nurturing the next generation of creative and digital talent.

As Curriculum Head, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Creative and Technical Arts area, ensuring that all programmes are of high quality, meet the needs of our students, and provide pathways to further study or employment. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the college to ensure that students succeed in their English and maths qualifications and have access to the full range of support services, including learner support and employer engagement teams. This is an exciting leadership role with the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of Creative and Technical Arts education at our college.

We are an inclusive and welcoming college that is highly responsive in meeting the needs of our students. Equality, Diversity and inclusion are central to our values and behaviours, and we seek applicants who are fully committed to enhancing our work in this area.

If you feel this is the right opportunity for you and you have the right skills and experience, we look forward to receiving an application from you.
