South Ayrshire are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pupil Support Teacher to work across primary and secondary settings to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, young people, and their families. In this peripatetic role, you will work as an effective member of the team to deliver a flexible, high-quality education which meets the needs of young children and their families. You will help re‐engage disengaged or dysregulated learners, deliver flexible and nurturing educational support, and work collaboratively with multi‐agency partners to remove barriers to learning. Your work will play a vital part in improving participation, attendance, attainment, and overall wellbeing for some of our most vulnerable young people.

REQUIREMENTS

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
