We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our team and help deliver a range of sports and physical activity opportunities for children, young people and adults across Girvan, Maybole and the surrounding rural villages. This role is part of our commitment to improving access to quality sport and physical activity opportunities for people living in rural communities. The programme aims to reduce barriers to participation, encourage active lifestyles and provide positive experiences that support health, wellbeing and personal development.

As a Sports Coach, you will plan and deliver a variety of engaging and inclusive sessions in schools, community venues and outdoor spaces. Activities may include multi-sports, football, athletics and other recreational opportunities designed to meet the needs and interests of participants of all ages and abilities. You will play a key role in creating a fun, safe and supportive environment, encouraging participation, developing skills and confidence, and helping participants build a lifelong enjoyment of sport and physical activity. Through your work, you will contribute to strengthening community connections and increasing opportunities for people living in rural areas to be active and engaged.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Interviews for this post are scheduled for 28/08/2026. This post is temporary until 31/03/2027. The grade of this post is Level 5. The work style for this post is Frontline worker. The work pattern is: Monday - Friday 6:00pm-8:00pm.
