To assist and where necessary, to deputise for the Head Teacher in the conduct of the school’s affairs. The Supported Learning Centre (SLC) at Queen Margaret Academy is a stage 5 provision that supports pupils with mild to moderate additional support needs within South Ayrshire. Places in our SLC are allocated through a central admissions group (CAG) and the provision is currently capped at 52 young people from S1-S6. Our staff are committed to offering the highest quality education to pupils in our SLC and aim to provide all learners with skills for life, learning and work. Teachers in our SLC deliver core learning in literacy, numeracy and HWB in the BGE, and a wide range of qualifications across the senior phase. Many of our learners experience a more flexible curriculum and we would therefore welcome applications from primary or secondary staff, or teachers who currently work in ASN provisions.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007.
