The Council offers a variety of employability opportunities in South Ayrshire to support individuals in gaining experience, training, and employment. This initiative is part of the council's youth employability program, committed to providing career development for young people in the area.
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria before 28th July 2025:
- 19 years of age or under
- 29 years of age or under and be a care-experienced young person
- 29 years of age or under and have additional support needs
We are offering two Modern Apprenticeship positions in Craft Trades, and applicants may select up to two trades:
- 1 x Plumber
- 1 x Electrician
Note: If your application advances to the next stage, you will be required to attend assessment centre(s) prior to a formal interview. An industry assessment for the electrician apprenticeship is scheduled for the week beginning 16th June 2025. Practical assessments for all trades will occur the week starting 16th June 2025, with formal interviews scheduled for the week beginning 23rd June 2025. These dates are fixed and cannot be changed.
