Job Description
South Ayrshire Council provides a wide range of employability opportunities for people in South Ayrshire in order to support them in gaining experience, training and employment. This programme is part of the council’s youth employability initiative. We are committed to offering career development opportunities for young people within South Ayrshire and to comply with the conditions of funding from Sports Scotland, applicants must fall into the following category before the start date of Monday 24th November 2025.

South Ayrshire Council in partnership with Enable Works and Sports Scotland is offering a Business and Administration Modern Apprenticeship opportunity for a young person aged (16-29) with a disability, living in South Ayrshire.

This post is specifically for a young person with a disability. Disabilities can be visible or invisible and may affect how a person moves, learns, sees, hears, or thinks.

Examples include, but are not limited to: Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, Tourette’s, Neurodivergence, Physical Disability or Long-Term Health Condition.

The successful candidate will receive support to learn in the workplace while working towards a nationally recognised qualification in Business and Administration at SCQF Level 5.
