To relieve teachers of non‑teaching duties including classroom administration and practical tasks such as the preparation of teaching materials. Support the learning activities of children under the direction of the classroom teacher / Principal Teacher and other colleagues. Support pupils with additional support needs of a wide nature which include physical difficulties and challenging behaviour.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007.
