Deliver structured learning support to individual students or small groups within the classroom, under the direction of the class teacher, contributing to pupils’ progress and engagement with planned learning activities.

Manage student behaviour confidently and consistently, responding effectively to immediate issues, incidents or emergencies in line with academy behaviour, safeguarding and health and safety policies.

Support students to access and engage fully with the work provided, including targeted assistance with literacy, numeracy, organisational skills and independent learning strategies where required.

Monitor and record student engagement and progress during lessons, providing timely and accurate feedback to the class teacher on learning, behaviour, wellbeing or any emerging concerns.

Assist in the preparation, organisation and ongoing maintenance of a safe, secure and purposeful learning environment, ensuring resources are used appropriately and safely.

Actively promote positive behaviour, good conduct and respectful relationships, reinforcing academy expectations and contributing to a calm, supportive classroom climate.
