The main responsibility of the post is to assist in the upkeep and development of an efficient library service for the students and staff of South and City College Birmingham. The SRO ensures that the library offers consistently high standards of advice and support to students. This post works closely with other SROs and the Manager of Library Services.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Actively co‑operate with curriculum staff in finding and choosing library materials and developing service to support teaching in all areas.
- Assist in prioritising itemised estimates for library spending.
- Support HE courses and agree on enhanced facilities for them.
- Assist in the development of the library's Attain pages.
- Liaise with other campus libraries.
- Ensure the library's compliance with College policies, particularly Health.
