The Role
We are currently seeking to appoint a Security Officer (Peripatetic Guard) to join our team. The role involves safeguarding the safety and wellbeing of students, staff, and visitors across multiple campuses during term time.
Safeguarding and Pre‑Employment Checks
The college is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants will be subject to all necessary pre‑employment checks: enhanced DBS, prohibition check, childcare disqualification (where applicable), relevant qualifications, medical fitness, identity and right to work. All applicants must provide a minimum of two suitable references covering a five‑year period. An online search will also be conducted as part of our due diligence on all shortlisted candidates. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020, meaning that spend convictions and cautions that are protected under the Labour Market Disclosure will not be disclosed or taken into account by the employer.
