Job Purpose
An all‑round marketer focused on engaging with local feeder schools, initiating, developing and maintaining relationships with Teachers and Careers Officers to promote courses at South & City College Birmingham. Responsible for attending events such as assemblies, parents’ evenings, careers days, practice interviews, and coordinating taster sessions. Supports the college’s digital marketing strategy by developing content and communications to increase engagement with prospective students.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with local feeder schools to promote vocational courses including A Levels, T Levels and apprenticeships.
- Attend school events (assemblies, parents’ evenings, careers days, practice interviews).
- Coordinate college taster sessions.
- Develop and deliver content for digital marketing to attract prospective students.
Qualifications & Requirements
The successful applicant will be subject to all necessary pre‑employment checks including enhanced DBS, prohibition check, childcare disqualification (where applicable), medical fitness, identity and right to work. All applicants must provide a minimum of two suitable references covering a five‑year period. The post is part of the Immigration Act 2016 Part 7; fluent spoken and written English is essential. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and related amendments.
