About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant Camden primary school, working closely with children who require additional support to thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.

  • Promote inclusion and ensure pupils feel safe, valued, and supported.

Person Specification

  • Experienced in supporting children with SEMH needs (school-based experience preferred).
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Knowledgeable about strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
  • Training or experience in SEMH, behaviour management, or related areas is highly desirable.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths required.
