We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Male Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive school in the L36 area. This role involves working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them to access the curriculum and develop independence in a safe and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
  • Promote a positive, nurturing learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Support pupils with personal care where required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant (essential)
  • Experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and/or SEMH needs

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) desirable
