Role Overview
The Office Services team are the ambassadors for the Betfred flagship head office based at Birchwood. As a key member of the team, the Cleaning Operatives play a prominent part in creating a welcoming environment for all colleagues and visitors, maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards in all areas of the building, and ensuring the overall office environment is always presentable. Overall, Cleaning Operatives undertake a pivotal role in maintaining Betfred's reputation through exemplary hygiene standards and impeccable office maintenance, thereby enhancing the overall experience for both employees and visitors at the Betfred head office.
Please note that we are hiring for weekend roles with some weekday shifts, between 20-25 hours per week, late afternoon until 9pm or 10pm. There is the option to pick up extra hours for holiday cover.
Responsibilities
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping surfaces including bathrooms, kitchens, workspaces and storage areas
- Maintaining cleaning supplies, working with the Cleaning Manager to ensure adequate supply of cleaning products
- Operating cleaning machinery such as dishwashers
- Reporting any issues or repairs to the Office Services management team
- Following all Health & Safety regulations, ensuring all cleaning products are accounted for and stored away safely at the end of each shift
- Supporting the Cleaning Manager with the maintenance of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs)
- Some weekend work
Experience and Skills
- Previous experience working in a similar role is preferred but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks as required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, acting as a brand ambassador
- Proactive approach to tasks with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands
- Be thorough and pay attention to detail
