A thriving secondary school in South London is searching for enthusiastic EMA (Ethnic Minority Achievement) Bilingual Specialists to join our dynamic team. We are passionate about providing outstanding education and support, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities: As an EMA Bilingual Specialist, you will:

  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation for EAL students.
  • Provide personalised one-on-one and small group EAL & numeracy intervention.
  • Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Implement tailored learning activities to accelerate language and academic progress.
  • Support students with high standard prompt translation / interpreting.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
  • Prepare learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Participate in school events and activities to foster a vibrant school community.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
  • A proven track record of quality small group EAL & numeracy intervention.
  • Good knowledge of English, Maths and Science secondary school curricula.
  • A proven track record of quality in class support provision.
  • Experience in providing high-standard prompt translation / interpreting.
  • Experience in providing quality home school liaison.
  • A willingness to establish a rapport with our local community.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Portuguese / French / Spanish.
  • Right to work in the UK.
