Hours: Casual - minimum availability, 2 shifts per week (flexible; mainly daytime hours required, but must be open to some evening and weekend shifts)

We are looking for a Casual Community Inclusion Worker to join our Community Inclusion Services team! This individual must be flexible, person-centered, and a community-minded professional with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting individuals to achieve independence, employment, and inclusion.

Description of Position:
Sources Community Living provides all-encompassing care for individuals who have been referred to us by Community Living British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for a casual Community Inclusion worker to work in the LIFE Services, Specialized Employment Services and Life Navigation programs. Community Inclusion workers will be required to support individuals in their homes and in the community in their daily endeavours, developing and implementing personalized plans to increase and maintain their independence. Programs offer a variety of supports as desired by the individual, which can include: gaining meaningful paid employment, building friendships and natural supports in their communities/workplaces, and learning or accessing new opportunities.
Reporting to: Assistant Managers/Community Inclusion Manager
General Responsibilities:
- Coach, guide, and support individuals in achieving independence, inclusion, and personal goals
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and independently in community settings
- Support individuals using person-centered, strength-based approaches
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and program development
Program-specific Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized service plans focused on learning, inclusion, friendship, and employment
- Assist individuals with employment, independent living, and community access opportunities
- Develop relationships with local employers and support job development and placement opportunities
- Provide job coaching and on-site employment support as required
- Facilitate community participation and meaningful relationship-building opportunities
- Monitor, evaluate, and adjust support plans through ongoing documentation and check-ins

Qualifications:
- Diploma/degree in social services, community support, employment services, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges, or barriers to employment
- Experience in community inclusion, employment services, or job coaching preferred
- Strong understanding of person-centered planning and community-based service delivery
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License – mandatory
- Reliable vehicle with business insurance – mandatory
- Clear driver’s abstract – mandatory
- Criminal Record Check – mandatory
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (available 2 shifts per week minimum) – mandatory
