We are seeking a dedicated and motivated professional to lead a Children in Care team, providing strong leadership, management oversight, and strategic direction to social workers and family support staff.### Key Responsibilities* Manage and support a team of Social Workers and a Family Support Worker holding caseloads of children in care.* Provide effective leadership and management decision-making across complex cases.* Drive permanency planning to ensure positive, long-term outcomes for children and young people.* Deliver regular supervision, including both individual and group supervision sessions.* Chair team meetings, strategy discussions, and other multi-agency forums.* Lead on safeguarding concerns, risk management, and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.* Monitor and progress care plans, ensuring children receive high-quality support and services.* Promote best practice, performance management, and continuous professional development within the team.* Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.### Requirements* Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.* Previous experience managing Children's Social Care teams.* Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and Children in Care processes.* Experience chairing meetings and making complex management decisions.* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
