Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council for a Housing Options Advisor to join their Housing Solutions team.The role is 37 hours per week, offering hybrid working, and £25.00 per hour, with a contract running until March 2027. Please see a high-level overview of what the position involves below:* Delivering housing advice, homelessness prevention and relief interventions to households who are homeless or threatened with homelessness* Managing a varied caseload and completing housing assessments and Personal Housing Plans (PHPs)* Working closely with supported accommodation providers to identify move-on opportunities and secure sustainable long-term housing solutions* Negotiating with landlords, letting agents, family members and support agencies to prevent homelessness and resolve housing issues* Coordinating with partner organisations and participating in multi-agency meetings to support vulnerable residents* Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with homelessness legislation, guidance and council procedures* Supporting residents to access accommodation in the private rented sector and other suitable housing pathwaysThe ideal candidate will have experience with:* Housing Options, Homelessness Prevention or Housing Advice within a Local Authority, Housing Association or similar organisation* Managing homelessness or housing-related caseloads* Completing housing assessments and delivering person-centred housing advice* Knowledge of homelessness legislation, statutory duties and housing options processes* Working with vulnerable individuals and multi-agency partners* Landlord liaison, tenancy sustainment or homelessness prevention activities* Previous experience within Local GovernmentIf this role is of interest to you, please submit a copy of your CV and a mobile number.
