We are seeking a Production Support Operator to assist the Shift Site Manager and Waste Manager in the safe and efficient management of site operations and waste handling activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production activities as directed by the Shift Site Manager
- Assist with general site management tasks
- Manage and charge waste streams for incineration in line with site procedures
- Offload bulk tankers safely and efficiently
- Operate the boiler house when required, in the absence of the Boiler Operator
- Conduct waste sampling to determine appropriate disposal routes
- Transport waste from production areas to designated storage locations in accordance with classification guidelines
- Prepare waste streams and untreated containers for off-site disposal
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Act as a member of the site Emergency Response Team
- Provide First Aid support when required
- Use breathing apparatus equipment as necessary
Skills and Requirements
- Valid forklift truck licence
- Ability to manage a varied and fast-paced workload, often within strict deadlines
Experience and Qualifications
- Essential: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Desirable: Current forklift truck licence
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: £30,000 per annum
- Working hours: 07:30 – 15:30 (36.5 hours per week)
- 25 days annual leave plus UK bank holidays
