We are seeking a practical and safety-focused Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team at our West Bromwich site. The role involves hands-on mechanical work supporting chemical handling equipment and delivery systems, with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and reliability. Occasional travel to other sites or customer locations will be required. Full training, including ADR certification, will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection, installation, maintenance, and repair of hoses, relief valves, and associated mechanical equipment
- Maintenance and inspection of ladders, steps, and protective devices in line with safety regulations
- Preparation of chemical delivery tankers, including mechanical checks prior to dispatch
- Fault finding and rectification on mechanical systems used in chemical
